FAQ about the «New Chess Theory»:
3o) How can you explain that an
obcure chess player like you is able to
create a "revolutionary" chess theory?
|
This
is a effectively a relevant question and we wish to answer accurately.
We apologize, because it seems more natural here to speak in the first
person. My father was a prisoner in Germany (1939-1943); also I knew
him only at the age of six. He was always very busy, but I remember
very well to have played some chess games against him from the age of
9 until I am 12 or 13 perhaps... Always my father was the winner, but
I do not believe he gave me any explanation about chess tactics or
strategy.
Then,
unfortunately I very rarely played again until the age of 40!... This
was in Morocco; for the first time I was playing intensively and with
passion, in a true Chess club!... But it was too late to become a
good chess player. Finally my best Chess Rating was near 2000 on the
board and 2400 by correspondence. Now, many other aspects of my life
intervene to explain why I was in optimal conditions to discover a new
Chess theory. On this subject, it is useful to specify that to be a
very strong chess player is not the adequate condition for becoming an
sapient chess theorist; otherwise, with some prodigious chess
players like Alexander Alekhine, Bobby Fischer, Anatoly Karpov, Garry
Kasparov, Vladimir Kramnik and Veselin Topalov the Fundamental Chess
Theory would have exploded in a spectacular way (only the Opening Chess
Theory actually experienced an extrordinary development).
I
am a retired professional mathematician. I was a lecturer at Abidjan
(Ivory Coast) and Orsay - University of Paris-Sud - and a professor
at universities of Tunis (Tunisia), Rabat (Morocco) and
Reims-Champagne-Ardennes (France). I was a searcher (mainly in Real
Analysis, Number Theory and Probability). Also, I am familiarized
for a long time with conceptual though. Nevertheless, the theory that
I have created is not only conceptual but also pragmatic... Anyway,
you will find more details at this subject in the «New Chess Theory
Lecture».
